Tom Wallisch Has Been Leading Skiing for A Decade: Part 2

What could have been seen as a season ender wasnt for Wallisch. He competed at X Games Aspen and narrowly missed finals by 2.33 points. People didn’t just love Tom because he was in Level 1 movies and podium-ed here and there. While everyone was out there choosing a discipline, he was doing it all. It didn’t matter if you were into X Games or movies, Wallisch was front and center....

Blue Name Bangers: Bane, Szul, Guggemoos

The Newschoolers community is incredible, there are so many members posting amazing content week in, week out. Content that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Which brings me to Blue Name Bangers. And yes, I might well change the name because it’s kind of shit. I’m taking naming suggestions by the way. Blue & Boujee Award - Kevin Bane Highest rated blue of the week and deservedly so. http://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/861593/No-where-to-Park--City Lost In Translation Award - Robert Szul...

X Games Norway: Men's Big Air Final Results And Videos

A massive crowd watched on from the bottom of the jump in Hafjell and they weren’t disappointed. Bobby Brown opened proceedings with a perfectly stomped triple 14 mute (44) and it was game on. Ragettli put down his triple 16 more solidly for 39 points. Birk Ruud then went triple 12 the Jackson Wells way (41). Wacko then did the same for the same score. http://xgames.espn.com/xgames/video/18884068/henrik-harlaut-wins-men-ski-big-air-gold Dollo. Wacko brought the switch triple wobble 14 to the party for 41 and provisional bronze, bumping Bobby....

X Games Norway: Men's Big Air Elimination Results

Speed issues were again the culprit, especially among the lighter riders. The drop-in had been built way up to help out so maybe that fixed the issue. The jump still looked significantly smaller than Aspen but the riders threw down hard. Oystein had a triple and a beautiful switch dub 12 blunt to take second. He backed that up with a forward triple 14 too. He also tried for the rodeo one on the final hit but couldn’t quite make it stick....

X Games Norway: Men's Slopestyle Final Results And Videos

He pretty much only spun left on the rails too which hit his score hard. McRae Williams came out swinging with a solid run. Dub 10s and 12s are pretty much the limits here but he was clean and stomped it. Joss Christensen lost a shoe on the first jump before Gus went enormous on the jumps. He got hit hard on the score for some bobbles. Not the most interesting of grabs but good for 89 and second place....

X Games Norway: Women's Slopestyle Final Results/Videos/Recap

It’s safe to say that X Games in Norway is not going off smoothly. Front 4 out of the drop rail, to big bio 9 and then crashed on a switch 7. She almost killed a child crowd crashing in to the fence too. Definitely one to watch though. Giulia was killing it too but she got hit by the speed curse second time out. Kaya T also made good friends with the final jump knuckle and but muscled out a 5....

X Games Norway: Men's Slopestyle Qualifying Results/Recap

It was pretty dope to see slopestyle go down at night though. Andri Ragettli can’t be stopped though, he put down a score good of 84 for second. It didn’t look too bad to me but his score got shafted. Provisional first for him but only for a few minutes. 3 dubs and clean rail tricks on the other features were good to bump Jossi to second. Not a thriller and largely a result of the course....

The Weakend: Keeshlife, Harlaut, FIS, Candide's Playground

Cover Photo:Carlo L. Mion(Full Image) What’s up everyone? Dan might be onto something when it comes to #stopskiing. The pinnacle of his run was the crazy rotation dub at 01:43 below. Isabel Atkin took the women’s win. Then again, not much of what FIS do does. On the video front it has been a wild week as always. I’m really enjoying this series. I’m not sure Miika Virkki is human and if you don’t know, you will soon....
