Cy Infiltrates the Ladies Session: Pt. 2

Coming out of four days of non stop shred life though I think my attitude has changed. I think the last thing women’s skiing needs is another dude talking about “empowerment.” Maybe women’s skiing, like all skiing, is about having fun in the mountains. If that’s the case this Jackson Hole Shred Session was a great step in women’s skiing. There was skiing, stoke, smelly socks and sketchy maneuvers. There were cramped feet, tomahawks, yardsales, shin-bang, cossack trains and denim vests....

Lady Shred.

All photos by Cy Whitling. I knew of so many girls who could rip, but none of them we’re putting out content. That’s when I had the idea to bring us together. And let me tell you- it’s been incredible. We’d all go around scoping, find something we like, then one-by-one each drop it. There has been so much progression, lifelong friendships, laughs, and straight up slaying throughout the day....

Suzuki Nine Queens GoPro Course Review

https://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/761932/GoPro-Course-Preview---Suzuki-Nine-Queens-2015 Two days of sunshine and soft snow has enabled the girls to ease into riding the castle, going bigger with every run, nailing back-to-back tricks, and getting more imaginative with the castle as the week goes on, especially now that the winds from earlier this week have calmed. Emma Dahlstrom, Photo: Klauz Polzer As Emma explains, “this is my fourth Nine Queens, and this is the best castle I’ve hit so far....

Shred For Davie 2015

Four years ago, the Attitash community was crushed by the loss of David Kluge. Only 14 years old, David took his life by committing suicide at his house in Rockport, Massachusetts. No one could really understand why he would do this. He was a high honors student, a violinist, and most importantly, this kid could shred. He was throwing spins that other Attitash kids only dreamed of doing. Not only did this kid shred but he also was a great guy....

B&E Invitational 2015

photos: David Malacrida The Jam Session just wrapped up at the 2015 B&E Invitational. To say that the set up at Les Arcs is unique almost doesn’t do it justice. Tom Wallisch airs over the spine. Sometimes the swore, they drank beer and called skiers in for interviews in between runs. With Nico Vuinier providing French commentary too it was a diverse broadcast. Contest results will be posted at 4:30 EST....

B&E Invitational 2015, Best Style and Masta Killa

When the temperature dropped the course tightened up and the riders had to scale back. Parker White called it “the opposite of soft”. Parker White spent some time chatting with the livestream commentators. They eventually convinced him to do an all-backflip run, and P White set the bar high with five. He was rewarded for his efforts with the best style award. With Phil and Henrik on stage, he capped off the show with Triumph....

B&E Invitational Practice Was Wild!

Weve been blessed with some amazing weather and an unbelievable setup for an event that really is another level. It’s hard to explain but look at the course shots and you’ll see how mad that is. Assorted Episodes in the Ecrins: Part 3

Part 3: Assorted Episodes in the Ecrins: A Backcountry Adventure in the Southern French Alps. Better late than never. Thick flakes were pouring out the sky. Sean Jordan Open 2015's to Everything Else

Photos:Rachel Bock The easy story coming out of Big Boulder this weekend is Ryan Stevenson. He was the easy story, he stole the show. He cracked wise to the crowd and shouted out each rider as they came through the jump section. http://www.newschoolers.com/membervideo/760642.0/Coreshots?s=1706&t=6&o=8 Now that’s a product! When the Forecast Is Too Good To Be Tru

Up to 3-4 feet of snow could accumulate in the San Juans. And, this wasnt far fetched. The previous Monday was skiing 30 deep. Powderchasers.com, the ultimate tease for thosediagnosed with PADD, flagged Wolf Creek to be absolutely blower on Monday. Sunday: 12 in the last 24 hours. Holy shit, yes! The West Side of Wolf Creek Pass was closing Monday morning for avalanche control. Pulling into the Wolf Creek parking lot, we got stopped by an enormous front-loader doing snow removal....
