My first year skiing the mountain got dumped on while I was taking finals. I spent the next spring break in dry, sunny California watching the snow pile up at home....

We’d heard Stevens was good, we’d heard it was similar to our home resort, Schweitzer. The bad news was that their season base depth was sitting right around 34 inches. I think most companies have caught on to this model and it seems to be working really well. Although the company itself is no longer, the movies, edits and most importantly the attitude remains. The different skiers and snowboarders involved with the company over the years is a long one. As an outsider, the end of Voleurz seemed kind of sudden. Can you take us through it? Its hard to talk about your home ski resort in an unbiased and fair way. Fortunately I have no obligation to be fair or unbiased here. Ive been skiing Schweitzer Mountain Resort in northern Idaho for four years now and it just keeps getting better. Most days the lines are small to non-existant and there are nearly always fresh stashes to be found. This just means that the trees off Snowghost and triple are prime for shredding....
