The Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships 2011 will take place in Riksgransen, Sweden, May 17-19th. ?Top riders like Henrik Windstedt, Reine Barkered and Sverre Liliequist have already signed up for the event. On New Years Eve I partook in a an “Out Cold” inspired race down Back Trail on Red Mountain. The goal of the race was simple - to make it down the hill as fast as possible and spill as little beer as possible. Luckily, I’m a skier and therefore had quite an advantage over the snowboarders so I ended up winning! Cheers!

What happened to skiing for fun

Now a days it seems to me that skiing even relationally isn’t for fun, its like some sort of big competition. All I see now a days is people just skiing with their crews and filming every single run they that they take, alway trying to the get the next best trick to put on YouTube and have everyone at their mountain awe at it. It seems to them that its all about making the best edit and showing everyone else up, and these people’s attitudes are just straight cocky, and act like they own the mountain, and are douche bags to anyone else who isn’t as "good" as them....
