The Real Life Social Network

Like it or not, the web is undergoing a phenomenal change right now. No longer is it about individual pages, links or how you integrate with websites. Turns out it’s not as simple as you’d think. His presentation is a must-read for anyone who is designing user interfaces and works in the social space. Weighing in at 216 slides, it’s a bit of a biggie. Wanaka, New Zealand, 2006

New Zealand 2006 Some people save money to buy new cars, electronics, food/booze. Well I save my money to travel. So when I saw a $700 flight to Auckland, NZ I booked it. It just so happened that the New Zealand Freeskiing Open was happening at the same time too. When I arrived in Los Angeles things were chaotic. For me, my flight that would take me from LA to Auckland was...

Belize 2002

Hurricane damage is funny though. When one house can be reduced to rubble, another can be completely spared from any damage. And while in costal Belizian village, you’ve got to try the fish. Our days were then spent snorkeling, sunbathing, napping, snorkeling, eating, napping, repeat. (except I did get pooped on by a pelican)

Ever wanted to play basketball with a pro snowboarder?

Well, here is your chance. The line of players wrapped almost all the way to Dex’s Shop! It was crazy and super fun. Campers won Rome tshirts and sunglasses from the Rome Team. LNP did pretty well, but Staale made it almost to the end of the game. More photos after the jump.

Moscow Russia 2008

I still do not claim to have seen Russia. Moscow in May is a great time. It’s nothing like the cold, gray city that we see in the Borne Identity movies. This would start with learning to navigate the Moscow Metro. Moscow is famous for its underground. Including the amazing "La Ronde des Prisonniers" by Vincent Van Gogh. While the Pushkin Museum is a art lovers must, the Kremlin is on the list for...

Sprucing Up the Concrete Park?

We also put some NHS banners up around the park. Check out head Skate Coach Jamie Weller and Portland head Willis Kimbel putting it down. Tomorrow morning some of the Nike SB dudes will be in town. Get ready for the footage, you know it’s going to be gnarly.

The J Hole Expierence

taken fromhttp://www.yleski.com Just finished up an unreal weekend in Jackson Hole. Stan Evans and I departed SLC on Friday and headed straight for the TGR office located in Teton Village. A damn good investment for the 4th. This guy, Dave, had a mansion located below Snowking the local night shred hill in Jackson. I mean, catered food, free booze, DJ, d floor, the whole works! The knee still feels great, another test passed, STOKED!...

Troke Wedding

Saturday June 19th finally came for Brittany & Chris who have been great friends from the moment I met both of them. A long distance relationship since Chris is in the Navy didn’t dampen their feelings for each other at all. This was one of the favorite weddings we have shot because they were so much fun to work with as you will soon see:) The girls got ready in a beautiful home in Black Forest…...

Arrow Lake

Went out to Arrow today with Marsh, Pat, Curly, and Richard. The water is super high! The big cliff that’s usually 50-60 feet is 30-35ish right now because of the dams. After, we went to the pet store in Castlegar which was dope! I love animals even though I feel sorry for them having to be locked up in cages all the time.

Happy Birthday, America.

Got really cagey in Boston this weekend. Ventured down to the parents pad in Rhode Island for summertimes shenanigans on the water. The view from the Amirault compound. We cleaned up the Boston Whaler and slapped her in the water for the first time this summer. Well, not really.

And I used it on the tramp as a landing-mat to learn new tricks. Easier to stop the bouncing with a mattress.
