I just got to Mt. Hood, Oregon on Saturday and have been enjoying myself entirely. I skated for the first time since, like, November and the snow has been fun. This is the first time I have been in the North West in the winter/spring. I haven’t gotten too much riding in. But I think I’m getting better with my camera. Thanks mom and dad! Went a little too early to Hafjell today. Slushy and warm afternoons doesn’t mix too good together with freezing cold nights. With no edges, ice got me and I had to give up after one hour of skiing. As they are a little smaller, they are more easy to handle on icy conditions. The sun was shining though, and I got to ski with the skiinstructor in Hafjell, Magne. My body was beat after this weekends competition....
Last week Waterville Valley NH was host to the Freestyle Junior Olympics. The Saga Axis Boys were in attendance and posted some impressive results. Apparently Andys Color is Gold and Nickys is Silver. Congrats on 1st and 2nd Gentlemen we couldn’t be more stoked for you.

This time of year brings sun, fun people, and deteriorating snow conditions to the ski hill. On days when the skiing isn’t stellar I often find myself sitting in the sun on the deck at the ski hill, possibly eating: nachos, oatmeal, ramen, poutine, or pizza. Ali stole my camera and snapped some off some of these on such a day.
Got home a few hours ago, dead beat from the weekend of skiing. Hatveits jump was pretty funny, and you got a lot of hangtime too! I finally got to hit it switch after yesterdays bad skiing. Got a few sw 9’s and a sw 10 in the slushy landing. I didn’t get to the finals, missed it by 2 spots. Ended up in 10th by 31 skiers in the qualifiers....
Today was a good day, I flew an airplane by myself. I felt ready, so I headed up with my flight instructor Luke to Longmont for my solo. Every good flight begins with a good pre-flight inspection. The workspace I have come to love. Has the best view in town. Luke and I enjoying a good time and good view on the front range after a light snowfall. I take to the skies in my 172....
