Quick recovery

What do you know! Backe and Marius looking fresh! Nobody in the park this early, sooo good. A bit chilly and freshly groomed, packed snow. Just the way I like it! First drop-in of the day. Will my body take it without any pains? I felt allmost no pain at all, just stiff and generally beaten-up! Backe just come back from a 3-days recovery after crashing on a downrail. He is usually kind-of stoked in general when it comes to skiing....

The Case for a Larger Regional Ski Show in Spokane

Spokane’s "Ski the Northwest Rockies" Snow Show is a great event. It brings together legions of local skiers and acts as a great kickoff to the ski season. But that’s not to say it cannot be improved. The one-day event only showcases a small portion of the vast skiing and snowboarding industry. Significantly, it never completely fills up with exhibitors. But it will never be that size. It’s time to improve the...

Crash-test dummie

But Marius wanted it elsewhere, and dropping in Freeway with a double 1080 mute second run. Landed straight on my back again! Spitted blood all day and had trouble with breathing. Caughing a lot, things were not good. But this afternoon my back, bottom and side of the stomach started hurting a lot. Going to the doctor tomorrow to check it out, hopefully nothing serious. But I will just have to see to it to make the crashes as light as possible....

Exploring Southern British Columbia...

I just returned from a 17 day road trip through the southern interior of British Columbia. It was probably the best ski trip I have ever been on. With this being my first time to the region, I was completely humbled by the mountains. The amount of easily accessed backcountry skiing is just mind boggling. Unfortunately, we had to deal with fluctuating temperatures and a very active surface hoar layer in the snowpack....

X-Games Day 3

Today was the first day of actual competition at X-Games 14. The day started off with men’s slopestyle qualifiers at 10am. All predictions came true and even the qualifiers were extremely competitive. Bobby Brown was the first athlete to drop and stomped an absolutely flawless run right away. Tonight is a clean slate with the beginning of big air practice from 7 to 9.

Apple Event: The Good, Bad, & Other

The event was pretty exciting. It was great seeing the incredible new UI design built specifically for the new iPad. This is obviously inevitable when something gets so much hype. I broke the points up into 3 categories: The Good, The Bad, and The Other. The Good These are some of my favorite features and surprises from the event. No contract for 3G Data. Awesome and totally unexpected. Never imagined them getting under $700....

Dew Tour SB / 365 Day Project

Maybe a little to much, especially in my case. I love money but it seems I never have it, or if I do its already spent. one day ……and this wasn’t ours unfourtunetely.
