These are trying times in the ski industry. 9/10 ski bums are currently homeless. Sure they might have been homeless before Corona, but still, have a friggin heart. Sara McLachlan has teamed up to help provide relief. 8% of ski bums are risking sobriety right now during this economic shutdown. At least 50% will go without enough booze to get properly fucked up. Skiing was bred and developed around beer....

Being the first Super Sessions, things did not always go according to plan. This gave the event a homie feel which complimented the crew nicely. Bobby Sullivan and Chris Bechtold stood out the most from when I was there. Im not a ramp guy but it was wild watching the jump hits logged throughout the week. Bush is known for its rails, and the setup did not disappoint. Skiing between the features is equally important as skiing the features....
Juho Kilkki has long been one of skiing’s outliers. I first met Juho a few years later, at the legendary Backyard Park in Savitaipale. He can do just about anything, first try. But while his technical talent is undeniable, it’s his mind that is truly unique. It’s a cliche to say that creative skiers are ‘artists’, who see things differently. The abrupt end to the season sucks pretty hard. The important thing is that there will be other seasons, other chances, other sunny park laps. Not everyone can ski every day, not everyone wants to. Honestly trying too hard to take advantage of every second of every day sounds friggin exhausting. Sure the season ended early, suddenly, and sort of painfully, but we had a season. I don’t want to preach, even though I’m preaching....
