Out of Industry: Mega Pass Life

In-Depth Review: 2020 Faction Candide 2.0

When applicable, our individual opinions are noted with our initials. The ski has softened over the years, but remains virtually unchanged since the 2018-2019 season. Dylan and I hopped on these skis this season to bring our perspective to the CT 2.0 and 2.0x. This is significantly shorter than the skis weve been on this season. The ski features a standard sidewall layup, and in general, there’s nothing fancy about the build....

Newschoolers Editors' Picks: Best All-Mountain Skis 2019/20

They are open to all brands, big or small, whether they work with Newschoolers or otherwise. Our editors' picks are exactly the same. For some, it means a 78 underfoot directional carver with a little tip rocker for ‘float’. There’s a fine line between park and all-mountain skis for hitting that brief. Such is the way of things when the borderline is blurred. For me, it outclasses both on groomers and on deep days....

Newschoolers Summer Tech Updates

Summer is a strange time of year at, and on, Newschoolers. And we’re all secretly praying that things will be back to normal come Fall. This year, it’s so far so good on that front (as always). NS Contests Are Back! One thing that has definitely sucked on NS in recent years has been the lack of contests. That means rider contests (i.e. best trick, best line, etc) are coming back to NS this winter with cash prizes....

Newschoolers Editors' Picks: Best Park Skis 2019/20

They are open to all brands, big or small, whether they work with Newschoolers or otherwise. Our editors' picks are exactly the same, but being truly comprehensive is harder to pull off. Unlike other outlets, I want to put our cards on the table. We haven’t skied everything. But in both cases, we haven’t skied them, so they can’t make the cut. Of course, trying to define the best park skis is very much a matter of personal preference....

In-Depth Review: 2023 Line Vision 108

_ The Vision 108 is a new ski from Line this year. That said I really havent had any issues with these bindings and they actually suit the skis quite well. The tips and tails are a medium flex with underfoot being medium stiff. I would rate the tips about 7/10, the tails 7.5/10 and underfoot being an 8.5/10. There is a very slight amount of taper in the tip with more taper in the tail....
