Johanne Killi nearly stomped a super clean switch right dub 10 but couldn’t hold it through the transition. He still scored an 86.25 for an early lead though. Henrik slid into third for run one with a dub bio 14 tweaked safety....

The days of the local ski hill pass are dying. Some would argue dead already. Smaller mountains are having to get increasingly more creative to bring wide ranging interest to their product. What do you do then? Do you fight it, stay independent and lean on the loyalists & locals? Do you sell out? Or, do you have other viable options? The answer per usual, is probably somewhere in the middle....

For some, it means a 78 underfoot directional carver with a little tip rocker for ‘float’. There’s a fine line between park and all-mountain skis for hitting that brief. Such is the way of things when the borderline is blurred. For me, it outclasses both on groomers and on deep days....

Lib Tech is also touting their eco-friendly materials such as topsheets and cores. The safest, most efficient, environmentally friendly process. Including maximized material yields, recycling, and repurposing. The factory produces Zero Hazardous waste. We do it all ourselves because we love it and nobody does it better....

Summer is a strange time of year at, and on, Newschoolers. And we’re all secretly praying that things will be back to normal come Fall. This year, it’s so far so good on that front (as always). NS Contests Are Back! One thing that has definitely sucked on NS in recent years has been the lack of contests. That means rider contests (i.e. best trick, best line, etc) are coming back to NS this winter with cash prizes....

Thewinners of the 2019 iF3 Awards during the 12th editionof the iF3 Festival in Montreal, Quebec have been decided! In front of an excited crowd of ski and snowboard enthusiasts, the 2019 iF3 Movie Awards took place at Bain Mathieu. Twenty-six awards were bestowed to the years best ski and snowboard films in four categories: Amateur, Athlete, Open and Pro. Heres a look at the winners, which were determined by the iF3 Jury : Jeff Schmuck, Will Wesson, Evan Heath, Zach Aller,Guillaume Morissette and Ralph Samson after viewing over 80 films....
_ The Vision 108 is a new ski from Line this year. That said I really havent had any issues with these bindings and they actually suit the skis quite well. The tips and tails are a medium flex with underfoot being medium stiff. I would rate the tips about 7/10, the tails 7.5/10 and underfoot being an 8.5/10. There is a very slight amount of taper in the tip with more taper in the tail....
