This evening saw the inaugural Golden High Awards go down in Annecy, France. I did not get that dress code memo, but thankfully neither did the other skiers. Living in the Netherlands, Isabelle had to work hard to get her turns in. It wasn’t until a slopestyle comp was cancelled that she transitioned into halfpipe skiing. This new shape feels like the ultimate evolution of that ski. Shape/Flex/Construction [Mark:] The Armada BDog is an asymmetrical twin with a rocker-camber-rocker profile. The skis hand flex slightly stiffer than they ski. That gives you maximum surface area for stable buttering and minimal hang-ups. The Edgeless, and to be fair, many other soft park skis, only offer the latter. Even while skiing open, steep trails at Jackson Hole, these surprised me....
