The plan was to drive there Wednesday, bum around Thursday-Sunday, and leave on Monday. I had loose plans for hiking/skating on Thursday, and then skiing Copper’s hike park Friday-Sunday. A quick look at the Instagram page, and I had my plans for tomorrow. From there it was around 2 miles and 1200 feet of elevation up to Fourth of July bowl. The party was in full swing. The bowl opened up and I turned wide and enjoyed the slush....

Naturally, around this time, everyone should be looking for that perfect deep powder ski. We had almost no snow until February, but it sure came on strong once it rolled in. There comes a time where I must admit I was wrong and that time is now. I couldn’t put any weight on the front of the ski and found myself riding the backseat. I could feel the onset signs of shin bang and my dorsiflexors tiring....

These are definitely long but in true sweat pants fashion they have elastic around the ankles....

Halcyon Daysare defined as a period of time in the past that was idyllically happy and peaceful. This title is a perfect fit for this movie. Vinterpark, Norway and Levi, Finland get their fair share of free advertising here. Both look like incredible places to be and to ski. Joona Kangas is butter incarnate. The track selection throughout is perfect, and there is some flawless editing here. To put it simple simply: it’s full of style and bangers....

I’m a huge Henrik fan, so its always difficult to write impartially about his work. Everything Henrik touches seems to turn to gold and that’s not just competition runs. It’s well established that he is one of the hardest working skiers in the game. The film centers itself around a variety of trips and the riders that accompanied Henrik on them. The list of skiers that throw down in this half-hour affair is phenomenal....
