AlpenFlow 89: The Next Evolution in Hybrid Bindings

AlpenFlow Design, a new skier-engineered company from Tahoe, has developed the AlpenFlow 89, a high-performance hybrid ski binding five years in the making. Self-funded and built by former precision equipment engineers, the binding offers resort-level power and control with seamless backcountry transitions. With large springs for elasticity, a rotating toe with controlled release, and a release range of 5-13, it mimics alpine bindings while allowing for quick ski-to-walk transitions without removing boots. Developed in collaboration with freeride skier Noah Gaffney, AlpenFlow is now seeking support from the Newschoolers community to bring the perfect freeride-touring binding from prototype to production.
