Last season Team K2 was just shy of the podium coming in at 4th place.
He has been on the come up the last few years, especially in the pipe skiing circuit.
Earlier in 2016, he competed in the Youth Winter Olympic Games and won a gold medal in halfpipe.
Last week he placed 7th in halfpipe at eh GrandPrix at Copper Mountain.
He is currently the youngest member of the U.S.
Pro ski team and is working at getting on the U.S. Olympic Ski Team for Halfpipe.
We can expect Birk to go big like he does in the video above this weekend at Dew Tour.
