Finnish psychopath @worldwide_e2 took home the W after doing 58 challenges and tallying over 20,000 points! Next closest was Mt. Hood riderTyler Sosnowskicame in second place with 49 challenges and over 15,000 points. Overall, the competitors showed out in full force and did some crazy shit. Expect more from the actual event next month!
Sunny Italian skies greeted competitors for the final FIS World Cup of the season. Athletes had to endure some uncomfortable post run interviews but otherwise it was a good day in Seiser Alm. Even with two Olympic medalists missing and numerous North American riders absent, the finals were stacked. Good enough for 88.4. Speed was clearly worse this run with more guys crashing or tucking up harder to get things round....

One way to win was being the first to get a certain trick landed from our challenge list. Judges Kevin Merchant, Sawyer Sellingham, and Joey Favara staying focused. When everyone was completely exhausted it was time to reward them for putting on such a good show....
Fieberbrunn Austria - the location of the fourth stop on the Freeride World Tour 2018. The visibility fluctuated throughout the cloudy day, which caused a couple of delays. However, the snow conditions on the mountain were spectacular. After falling at Kicking Horse, restaged HakubaandAndorraGeorge Rodneyfinally got his redemption run and landed one to his feet. The judges rewarded his unique run with 89 points, sending the rookie into a deserved first-place finish....

The third stop of the Freeride World Tour took place in Vallnord-Arcalis Andorra in a perfect bluebird powder conditions. The judges awarded her a 90.67 and another first-place finish.They clearly want to see more tricks from the women. Mens Ski The mens ski category was unreal. With a 83.33 he was bopped into third. He skied away alright. The competition has never been higher and every skier threw down an amazing run....
Behold the mighty Chic Chocs. Its the punch in of scenery that looks more like Norway than Quebec. To our great surprise, the Ski The East crew happened to also be in town during our trip. The food was outstanding, including the lunches they packed on the cat for us each day. And then theres the terrain. While the 12 runs there are a bit more mellow, they offer great skiing in well-maintained glades....
