So, with just three practice runs to shake off years of rust, he landed two contest runs. Podium level runs in todays competitions feature doubles in three at least three different directions. Men’s slopestyle finals popped off today under the cloudy skies of Breckenridge. Run 1 Highlights: Plenty of wild shit happened during the first runs of finals. McRae crashed pretty hard, Dollo laced up a triple (?) Evan McEachran switched it up plenty of double grab variations. Oystein upped his run and slide into 2nd place behind Goepper. Gus, Braaten, LaPlante ,Woodsy and Adelisse all ate shit. Dollo did one for the people and maxed out the style for his victory lap of sorts....
Sarah Hoefflin had a criminally underrated run, landing her a 60.66, good enough for 4th. If she cleans it up, she could find her way into the top 3. French teen superstar Tess Ledeux slid into 2nd place with a rad run. Dew Tour marks the halfway point in the US Olympic Team Qualification Schedule. Noah Bowman put his same run down but missed a grab. Super good run but two of the dubs were basically the same. The way he does that downpipe dub ender is crazy....
Great conditions continued for the ladies event at Breckenridge following on from a great showing by the boys. With 5 out of 8 riders out of the US, this was all about Olympic qualification again. Cassie Sharpe had a straight air truckdriver which was dope, but also a super nice grabbed cork 9. She easily took the lead with an 88.00. Marie Martinod has a straight air and both ways flairs, a 9 and a 7 to go first....
Back for its second year, the Dew Tour Team Challenge brings the industrys top ski teams head-to-head. Each team brings three athletes in addition to a team captain, to compete in three different disciplines. Team Head Skis, who took third place last year is back to take another shot at the podium. This past winter, Blunck earned his first X Games Halfpipe Gold Medal in Aspen, Colorado. McEachran is a young gun whos name weve gotten to know real well over the past few seasons....
The fourth spot goes to the team captain, who motivates and occasionally is called on to step in. At the end of the event, the team with the highest cumulative score takes the crown. We love this contest for a couple of different reasons. These guys all bring the character and style that competitions are hated on for lacking. you could make fun of it for looking like traditional sports, but well enjoy watching....
The snow cleared to a degree part way through the event but wind was still an issue. In all, 7 Americans made the top 12. The weather forced the cancelation of the women’s qualifying for today as the wind got even heavier. The one plus side of the conditions? Wise is looking reinvigorated in the lead up to the Olympics. It was a case of 13 doesn’t go in to 12 spots for him....

When companies reshuffle their athlete rosters, the rumor mill inevitably begins turning. Newschoolers: What was the state of 4FRNT when you bought the company? JLev:4FRNT was out of business. Basically, it had maxed out its potential… it was running out of money and it wasnt profitable. It wouldnt have been able to continue on as it was financially. Basically, it would have gone out of business. This is just the reality of a small company being ahead of its time....
