The Return Of The Silver Belt

Then, have the best skiers in the world come to partake. A weekend of incredible talent and special moments, unlike any other skiing event. Sugar Bowl athlete, Xander Guldman, helped bring the vision of the Silver Belt to life. The history buffs will remember the original 1940 Sugar Bowl Silver Belt as a Giant Slalom race. PBR Session 2024: Recap + Video + Pictures

It’s spring, which of course means it’s insane here at the Newschoolers office. Our very own event, the Pro Bowl Riding (PBR) Session. Stacked crews descended on SSV for a three-day shred fest like no other. Stacking clips and ticking off tricks. Since 2018 when we started this I’ve got to watch it grow and become better and better. Without a doubt we can say this is the best it’s ever been....

Newschoolers X Powder Gear Week 2024 at Banff Sunshine Village

So yep, this year was bigger and better than ever. We say it every year but this was probably our best test year. Summer camp, as the test is now known to us is a gathering of new and old friends. Of course, its work too but it barely feels like it. If you’re a gear nerd, next winter is shaping up to be a goodun!

Red Bull Unrailistic '24, Replay and the rail GOAT takes the W

Nothing is quite like Unrailistic. The craziest rail features, the world’s best rail skiers, and some total curveballs. Red Bull also did a great job of producing the show too, fun to watch but easily understandable. They missed a few tricks in the production but they’ll get there. To me, Unrailistic seems a great middle ground. It’s crazy, inspiring but also consumable. The format was interesting, with the best four features adding up to your final score out of 100....

Lebron, Wemby, and Noah Albaladejo???

They were awarding free periods to over-performing fifteen year olds during the height of the Clash Royale craze. Were we going to use that time to study? Productive in a hybrid workforce? I would do this and I would watch SLVSH. At that time in my life, it was arguably my favorite thing about school. SLVSHhas been a constant in my life since then. Ive definitely watched every game, Ive watched certain games over 10 or 20 times....

As the competition enters its second year, Tjader’s ambitions remain sky-high. “My goal is to construct the ultimate course. Red Bull Cascade: Recap + Results

Spring is here, World Cups are done and largely forgotten, which means the real contest season begins. By which I mean the ones the athletes actually enjoy going to. The course is a mix of all-mountain freeride features and massive slopestyle key in jumps. Day 1 kicked off the seeding/ qualifiers for the teams with blue skies and a clear course. The deep ruts laid down the day previous had a light dusting and made the conditions variable at best....
