A small weather window opened up to squeeze finals in today before Mammoth gets hit with another snowstorm tonight. The men struggled less with speed and threw some bangers down in this 2-run final. The level of women’s skiing is going through the roof right now. Perfect conditions in Aspen made for one of the best slopestyle shows in some time. Rell looked strong on the rails, as did Ruby Star Andrews but neither could stomp their jumps. There were a few speed issues here and there too but it was all about landing perfect. Tess Ledeux then put down an absolute heater. She scored a 95....
Anastasia Tatalina kicked things off with a right 9 Cuban worth an 8. My stream shit the bed and I missed much of the style runs. Anastasia opened up the ‘real’ runs with a left dub 12 mute that was pretty flawless, 36. The Twitch streams continued to cause issues at this point. Anastasia mirrored her 12 from the last run but went a bit big and blew up. Again, stream issues made me miss another run but it looked like Sandra took a big slam....
