So with that, what does it look like to train for skiing? The majority of training programs I see people doing inadequately prepare them for skiing. If you think about the sport of skiing, we ski in all 3 planes of movement. Additionally, the sport of downhill skiing is much different compared to other sports. As a result, your ski training should include eccentric loading in all 3 planes of movement....

Rewind the clock 20 years and Armada Skis is busy exploding onto the scene. In the early 2000s, freeskiing was still in its formation. It’s competitions had become a fixture of X Games and ski movies were back with a vengeance. Their first ski, the AR5 came to dominate the podium and Armada was here to stay. Despite an occasionally rough ride and changes of ownership, the brand has stayed true....

For Christmas I headed back to my Atlantic Canadian homeland with hopes of doing some skiing. There was no natural snow, which is very unusual for this time of year in the area. The hill is small, 500 vert, but it is well maintained and the lift is fast. Lift tickets were less than $40 Canadian and they are open until 9PM. We got 30 laps in a day EASY....

Nobody does it quite like Bella Bacon. Last winter she barely skied. In September, she had a major open-chest surgery to try and correct things and return her to snow. Pretty memories of a fading winter to many, these vestiges of snow became our objective....

She laced her signature left dub 16 tindy - probably the cleanest one we’ve seen from her ever. She stomped it for a massive 95.75. Mathilde, gold bib wearer dropped to put down a super carved and very floaty left dub 12 safety. This scored more than Kirsty with a 91.75. Tess' second run left dub 10 safety earned 86.50 and put her in the top spot. A 93.75 gave Mathilde the lead with Tess dropping with the last chance to change the podium....

Conditions were prime, and the crowd was pumping. Nick Goepper made his halfpipe debut and plenty of hammer runs went down. Enough for provisional second. Birk Irving had a sick dub flat 7 at the bottom of his run but only scored an 84....

It wouldnt be the first Rossignol Ski to go viral. But how do they feel in hand and how do they ski? Shape/Flex/Construction: The Sender Free 110 is a bit like the famed Rossignol Sickle brought up to date. Its lighter and more user-friendly but the sidecut and overall look of the ski certainly recall that cult classic. If were being honest, its a Black Ops 110 in all but name....

Mac was a relative newbie to the streets but it certainly doesn’t show. _ For both of you, this was your first time going to Japan. What do you remember about arriving in the country?
