The first time I skied with Daniel was summer shredding in Zermatt five or six years ago. I had just joined 686 & asked Daniel to shoot some pictures for the announce- ment. Years later, and were back in Zermatt to shred together & try the new skis....

He announced his retirement at the start of 2023. Well, it was extremely confusing and kind of exhausting at first. I didnt feel retired, I felt burnt out on skiing for sure. I knew that I didnt want to hit jumps and rails for a job anymore though....

This weekend at Thompson Rivers Univeristy in Kamloops a very special snowsports event took place. A rail jam on one of the iconic rails outside the Old Library on campus. This event comes from the mind of Tourism Management student and passionate shredderJustin Tarasoffand has been percolating since February. As part of a project, Justin pulled together this quite incredible event. IDGAF this shit was sick! And, crowd which peaked at over 350 turned out on Friday night to witness the chaos....

A few announcements were made in this week’s Aspen 2024 X Games press release. The news is rolling in thick and fast for this year’s X Games. The other most talked about announcement was the new spot reservation system. However, it’s worth noting that there will be limited free spectator viewing areas for the competitions throughout.
Hawx v1 was subsequently adopted by many as a resort/touring 50/50 boot. The Hawx 130 v2 shares one thing with the v1 iteration. The Hawx v2 is quite a bit heavier/still stiff (1819g - sz 26 - ACTUAL measured weight). Suppose you’re an aggressive skier. Perhaps you’re bigger. You want tech fittings to cover off all bases.
