Toni Hollwarth (AUT) became Austrian Champ. Overall, more than 200 riders from 16 nations took part in the Austrian Freeski Open by Atomic 2012. 15 riders qualified for the semi finals, where they met the 15 seeded pros. From there, the top 10 athletes battled it out in the finals. Thanks to the perfect conditions, the riders impressed the crowd with top- notch performances. The park was awesome, especially the kickers....
This weekend was the Austrian stop of the Freeride World Tour which took place in Fieberbrunn. For this event i was positioned at the start gates focusing on the lifestyle surrounding the event. I can’t wait for the season ender in Verbier later this month.

On 2/27/12 while at snowbowl in Missoula MT my velcro came off the power band strap. Bought these boots brand new at gull ski back in the winter of 88-89 i think. I am a father of three and new boots really are not in the budget for me. I was in the 7th or 8th grade when i bought my flexon comps....
I slept forever last night when I got back home from a long day of traveling from Austria. Needless to say, the week was awesome! Therefore I’m going to let the picture do most of the talking today! First feature in the course. Skiing hurted like hell, and my run was not good. I was afraid to fall again. This is the results in my qualifying-heat. But to be up in the slopes in these conditions is never wrong!...

Last night could not have been a better night to get out under the bright moonshine on Vail Mountain! We made great time ascending the freshly groomed cat tracks and head walls. Halfway up, our fat ski brigade was already drenched in the cool blue light of the moon. Spirits were high as we skinned swiftly by other children of the night and their canine friends. Snowcats meticulously laying down row after row of perfect moonlit corduroy....
The Austrian Freeski Open 2012 is in full force at the moment and videos of the event are peppering the internet with videos and general skiing wonderment. From our wonderful friends at Atomic they’ve filmed the training day, the exhibition big air comp and we’ve also got a video edit from the AFO themselves of the rookies and ladies day. All three videos are pretty nice and they’ll more than likely be the videos to set your Friday off!...
I’ve been in touch with Tim Pierce, creator of Winter of Wells, for some time now and not once have I had an email from him where I’ve been disappointed by the video he’s sent me. They’re all ridiculously well shot and today’s video is no exception. It’s a segment from his Winter of Wells documentary, more importantly, it’s Jossi Wells‘ part from the documentary. If you still haven’t managed to see the film then you have been wasting your time doing other things that are of less importance!...
