2/23/12 Open and Shut

Windows to ski things this season have been few and far between. With the weather, avalanche conditions, visibility deteriorating from yesterday, back to square one in EV. Of particular concern at the moment is the east facing egress out of the Benchmark drainage. As always, use your own judgement to keep yourself and friends safe. This is just my opinion. Interesting CAIC video posted today. Not sure where the pit was in relation to the pictures of the wind slab slides....

A little something from my point of view

Got a few laps through the park at Dombas with a Countour Roam on top of my head. If you are a skier this might make sence. If not, well then get prepared to be dizzy. Worst part is that this view is allmost identical to what every skier see through their goggles. Not so easy as it might look like in skimovies eh? Nothing too fancy here, just put together a few shots from skiing....

Dombås ? Geilo

7 hours of skiing yesterday, sore feet but fun day for sure! Salomon Jib Academy went down at Dombas skiresort, which was really cool. The park is the way it is supposed to be, with fun rail-setup and well-designed jumps. 3 jumps and 3 rail features was what the skiers had to choose from in Jib Ac. I brought out the Contour + camera, and did a few laps with skiing....

2/22/12 Gluttony and the Reset Button 2/23/12

Headed out in to the 11 inch day at Vail yesterday on my day off. Skied the in bounds for a couple nice runs and then headed out to see the conditions in EV. After waiting for openings, the sounds of bombs filling the air, we headed up the Poma. Took notice of the ski patrol bomb holes on the way out. As with the previous days, no activity. The skiing in Tweeners was again accompanied by no movement whatsoever....
