No hundred percent chance of sixteen inches that leaves us like a jilted bride at the altar. Chance, that’s all we ask here in the Vail valley. Todays agenda was to drive the 360 km to Lillehammer. Kind of booring when the traffic is slow and you have no-one to talk to while driving. Good thing the weather was epic along the way. Really positive to see some sunlight in the cold and dark country this time of year. Right now I am chilling at my kingsize hotel-room in Hafjell, Lillehammer.

The weather was in and out all day long. The course is actually super fun this year. It has 3 rails features and two jumps.

Nick Goepper is a rising you am on the freeskiing scene. More than that, Nick is only getting better. He’s a student at Windells Academy and a pretty awesome guy, too. He let us in on what he felt like, winning silver at Winter X Games 2012. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE SILVER MEDAL AT WINTER X GAMES 2012! WHAT WAS IT LIKE STANDING ON THE PODIUM? Definitely a dream come true....

In 2003 or 2004, I recieced my first skis in form of a Christmas present. They were a pair of Salomon 1080′s Vincent Dorion promodel. They were two year old, used demo-skis, with barely a rear tip to go switch with. But I learned all the tricks I could possible do, and I got good at it. So cool to see them again! We called it a night at 3 in the morning I think. 3 mellow nice jumps. Daniel finishing the top shape of jump nr 1. First day of testing. Marius in well-known possiture.  Jump nr 1 Jump nr 2 Backside of the second jump. They worked nice, and you get way more hangtime than first thought. The blue park is also supernice with rails and 5 jumps.

After a couple of hours we arrived at the cabin, drawn into the cabin by firelight and laughter. The ski down was low angle and variable, pockets of stale powder, interrupted by frozen track chatter. Dog decided that snow machines were more fun and took off on us. Headed out to EV on Wednesday afternoon in rising westerly wind and lowering, thickening grey clouds. Top of the world and I saw tracks beaten in the usual places....
