Atomic skis have quite a presence the Winter X Games this year so we catch up with their riders as they hit the slopestyle course for the practice day. Like the name implies, The Streets is a hikable terrain park filled with street features. The results are impressive, to say the least. As you move to the left of the park, intermediate features populate the park. If you live near Seven Springs, go check out The Streets asap! This little trick is the most funny trick I have done in a long time. It is not way steezy, nor is it insane or sick.

Our main man ripping it up in EV. A true Vail local holding it down in the EV backcountry. No regard for his own safety as he massages the trees with such grace. His backcountry etiquette is impeccable, video camera attached to a ski pole as he snowboards. Ready at any moment to grab his cell phone to call vail rescue to save his buddies. Pausing in avalanche chutes, mouth agape, surveying the terrain…intense!...

So there has been a lot of building happening in Prospector over the last week. This year the crew is going for a tighter run that has a flow that is less straight. The feature that Ian is working on here is planned to be an upside down rainbow log.  MO JAZZ

Headed up the Visti sipping a forty and listening to Def Leppard. Around Visti pole six I shot up, and by the top I was feeling loose. By the time I reached the Top of the World, I was cross-eyed and tingling. Passed out in the trees at the bottom. Woke up an hour later, and started my traverse out. Crowns and debris were everywhere in areas over thirty degrees, N-NE facing in the trees....

I recently attended the 2012 Snowcial conference, which is basically the convergence of social media and the ski industry… and a few drinks. It was a phenomenal event with fantastic speakers like Joe Fernandez from Klout, Jonathan Crowley of Foursquare, Porter Gale, and Rob Katz the CEO of Vail Resorts. Panels also included the likes of Daron Rahlves, Mark Ervin of IMG and Bryan Crowley the CMO of Pabst (invite him to your conference, he brings beer)....

We had some great turns within the resort boundaries. It was DEEP in several zones. Weather conditions have been leaving CO snow enthusiasts walking on eggshells. Always be careful, be aware of your surroundings and the terrain you are on. Don’t ride in closed areas. Even if there are tracks, it can still be unstable.
