The tracks are bold. Thats the only word that truly describes them. Theyre confident, fluid, arcing without pause. More big turns, shifting into a straight line into the meadow. Theyre the only marks in a decidedly proper line. But somebody dropped these perfect tracks on them in the second week of November. Sure, its been a great November. Sure, theres more than a meter of snow on north faces. But still, those are the kind of tracks most of us work up to leaving through a season....

The Revolt 90s dimensions sit at 118-90118 and it has a touch of taper in the somewhat squared-off noses. Theres nothing mind-blowing about the shape of the ski but this is to be expected for its intended usage. That being said one needs to understand the ski theyre on and assess it accordingly. Two weeks ago I wrotethis piece encouraging folksto work on their own gear. I explained how tweaking and repairing my ski gear adds to my overall experience as a skier. I came of age during the era of skittle suits and kids poles. I like short poles for going downhill. But, I am tall, and I also like walking uphill a lot. So I always ski with adjustable poles. I just put a single wrap of electrical tape just below the 125 cm mark on both poles....

Faction global headquarters are in Verbier, just a short train ride away from my home in Saas-Fee. A ski that was clearly not part of Factions standard collection. These new whips were certainly eye-catching and clearly of the park and pipe variety. Upon questioning, Factions head of marketing, Tim, fessed up and agreed to give me the scoop. Isabelle, like Fredy, is a talented yet lesser-known rail skier (check out her 2019 part). As far as I know, Couples Retreat is the only ski film produced exclusively by a couple....
