Season 2011

A lot like the rest of the country, Mammoth had an amazing La Nina snow year. It was almost like we had two entire seasons in one. Simple Vignettes in Action

Vignettes are created by darkening or brightening the edges of a photo.  Oftentimes darkening is the best approach.  As with all adjustments remember not to overdo the effect.  Vignettes should be applied at the end of your editing process, typically just before sharpening.  More right generally looks more natural. That's it!  Just be sure not to overdo and your images will look much better.

Old Man’s in July

Snapped a quick photo on a hike into the Gore the other day. The old man still has a good sized chunk of snow hanging tough in the 80 degree summer heat. A reminder of a great season and hopefully of what’s to come.
