This is the only urban slopestyle course in the country. Skiers and snowboarders are towed by tracked ATVs through the charming downtown streets to hit a pro-built slopestyle course. The 20 foot rainbow rail and 12 foot flat rail were built specifically for this event. The course will be groomed in between heats. The prize purse is $1,750 total with the best rider winning $1,000. Cash and numerous other prizes are awarded at the end of the event....

Pulling off a backcountry (freestyle) event during a pandemic AND a snow drought is pretty next level. But that’s what Nendaz Freeride, Mont Gele Gear, and Tanner Hall managed to do this weekend. The night before the comp, at the riders' meetings, both hopes and expectations were low. A direct result of a face check that didn’t look positive, not just speculation. The 2014-15 winter was only my third season on skis. It was a big deal. It still feels like a big deal eight years later. That’s how Great Wall design came to be a part of the course. Also, the rail features are installed in steps, that go lower and lower towards the right side. We believe this will serve its function and that riders will be able to perform at their best....
