Thats because it is, on several levels. The First Lift is never featured in resort marketing materials. Thats all fine by the First Lift. It was built in the 60s, it doesnt need any extra hype or responsibility. It knows its place. As the resort has grown theyve had to scratch in more parking lots further and further down the hill. Strictly have had a productive year, producing a trilogy of banger films. Each ski has a topsheet designed by Icelantic and Strictly rider, designer, Sam Winship. Tess Ledeux had two goes at getting the mute in her dub 12 but couldn’t quite hold it. It was enough for provisional third. Neither Elena Gaskell or Giulia Tanno could top that, leaving Tess top of the podium and deservedly so....

From my back porch I can see our local ski hill. Its coated in snow, top to bottom. This is one of the most exciting times of year to be a skier. Collectively, skiing dominates our minds. This year, in comparison, is a bit leaner. Most of our yard signs are for local school board members, city council members, and our mayor. And the same goes for most other countries too, local elections just don’t get as much hype....
