Its a pow day in Summit County, Colorado. Fresh snow means preparing the lift platform for those who would rather not have fresh snow on the ground. Soon enough, the line has ballooned out of the maze and scuffles break out between over-stoked skiers. But the lifty occupies a unique crux within the ski hill microcosm. Spread the word, bring some homies, and most importantly, go skiing! Just remember to keep those Tips Up For Your Lifty!...

The morning we linked up to surf he had a call with the organizers and judges of Real Ski. He surprised me after a morning surf session and dropped the news to me that I got an invite....
First up this week, the Bandits of the Bush and@aaronKalathave returned with anotherbanger edit. It’s good to see that east coast skiing is still alive and well. Next up is@RMUs “4 Minutes to Lockdown"with Will Fossum. Super solid skiing and filming and at a sick park to boot. It’s always interesting to see what people come up with. Maybe it’ll help you finally get past that wall, or help you clean it up....
As always, the videos, which I’ll get to in a second, are heavy. But things are a little different this year on the Real Ski front. Which for a 90-second clip, seriously detracts from the initial wow factor of viewing a part. Neither of this, nor the rule change should take anything from the riders, who crushed it. But X Games kinda blew it on this one. With that said, the videos are still incredibly good....
For years Ive struggled to illustrate the experience of skiing truly deep, blower snow. Part of it is that skiing powder is a more tactile experience than a visual one. I dont care how skiing pow looks, I care how it feels. I ski pow with my whole body, not just with my skis. Skiing powder is at the same time a very simple, and very profound experience. And that makes it hard to draw....
Representation on the film side for girls in skiing, especially in street skiing, is still sorely needed. This is a starting point to women getting into the streets more, she says with a smile. Other girls will see that and know its accessible. Its a little diminishing. Females arent on that same level yet. Is that because theres 200 guys and only 20 girls? Im not suggesting it, but certainly questioning it....
If someone asked me that same question right now my answer would be any resort not owned by vail. I grew up in Ohio skiing 300 vertical. Dropping cliffs and making pow turns wasnt a possibility. So that left me with hucking my self off jumps and catching edges on rails. I got big into park skiing at a young age and I still am but things have changed. Those dreams turned into nightmares fast....
