This is a ski the team had a lot of input into and loves to ski. Shape/Flex/Construction: The Revolt 121 is a big ski. 121mm underfoot and 143 in the tip, with a generous helping of early taper. When you put them on your feet, they look huge. That’s partly because they are big, and particularly because of how tapered they are. They have a lot of rocker too, 46cm in both the tip and tail by my measure....

Level 1 isn’t dead, far from it, in fact. I would suggest that Strictly look best placed to fill that gap. The movie is a perfect, near equal, blend of street, park and backcountry freestyle. Perhaps the true standout here is the unbelievable editing. My take is there’s an increasing amount of over-editing in the industry as technology improves. I want to see the best of the skiing without it being messed with too much....

As already mentioned, Orage came out with new branding this fall. What most people may have missed is that they are also celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. Alterra Mountain Company has acquired Sugarbush. They now own 14 destinations in the U.S.A and 27 world wide. I skied at Sugarbush for one year. My family rented a condo close to the mountain and we bought season passes. The terrain is top notch, especially for the east coast. One thing, however, makes Sugarbush stand out from other mountains. The second you get to the mountain, you get a skiers feel....

The in-depth review of the new 2021 Faction Prodigy 3.0 can be found here. Intro: Shape/Flex/Construction: At 104mm the Prodigy 3.0 is a pretty versatile width. The ski shape is pretty freeride oriented with fairly smooth, long rocker lines to match the taper. The flex of the ski is pretty stiff throughout. By the time you get close to and under the binding, its a 9.5/10 situation. The tails follow a similar pattern, the flex feels fairly symmetrical....

Ski graphics have changed a lot over the years. These are my picks for 2020, in no particular order. 1.Faction Skis x Pit Viper Monoski Yes, Faction made a monoski. No, they didn’t teleport to the 80s to retrieve it. Will you be able to stomp dub backies on it like SuperUnknown winnerBlake Wilson? That doesn’t mean this Hotline Miami looking ski is a bad idea to add to the quiver....
