Jesper Tjader stomped his run at the third time of asking and it was a wild one. He only scored 77.6, because of that grab presumably, but it was a crazy run. This is his year. ABM went a bit big and went down on his switch 6....

With that came a fair few scratches with the exception of our dominant gold medal winner. Both Tess Ledeux and Giulia Tanno had some speed issues on the second jump. Kelly Sildaru then raised the bar to a massive 94 with her insane rail skiing and b2b switch 10s. She even knuckled the last jump a bit. Unfortunately, her rails were below par compared what the top 3 were throwing, leaving her fourth....

Today saw an interesting opening to the Freeride World Tour today in Hakuba, Japan. Today, however, it was the skiers throwing down in the air who reaped the rewards. Drew Tabke, Mickael Bimboes, and Aymar Navarro all fit into that category today. Mickael, in particular, had a lot of success last season charging unreasonably fast down faces. He did the same today and you could argue he deserved more today based on that history....
