His friend took his own life with Peterson watching and it?s something that has never left him.
This all happened a few months before Turin kicked off so it was always something fresh in his memory.
He then battled with alcoholism, depression and his own emotions as he attempted to take his own life.
He gambled until he won hundreds of thousands of dollars but ultimately he would lose them all.
He received help from the University Neuropsychiatric Institute in Salt Lake City and seem to be on the mend.
No one checked his drinking though.
It seems that even though he was progressing with his mental state, his alcoholism was still pretty bad.
