Training, the gym, cardiovascular training, resistance training, weightlifting, HIIT…. and skiing.
I didnt but maybe you did.
There are many that dont and many that do.
The gymnastic elements people seem to hate create a great base for skiing much more than people realize.
Like Scotty Lago, former Nike snowboarder, said in 2012 Even the BC guys are hitting the gym.
Who comes back fast from ACL tears or things similar?
It seems to be those who train their body and get back into the game as fast as possible.
Look at Sammy Carlson, within four months in 2012 was back on snow.
In 2013/14 when he broke his ankle, he was back in less than two months.
This again is only possible by a healthy outlook on life and the way the body works.
However, the best training for skiing is just getting out there and sliding down some snow.
It cant be denied that being at a good fitness level wont help or isnt important either.
Does extensive training hurt the soul of skiing?
Or does it strengthen the professional level on which it progresses for the future?
Thats for the individual to decide
