Without further ado, let’s call this!
Fanghui Li had a huge air to fakie, 3 way 720s and a squeezed in final hit.
85.00 would be the first score to content with.
It was worth an 81.00 missed grabs and lost ‘tude would cost the score a little.
Hannah Faulhaber - queen of amplitude - dropped next.
83.66 for now was enough for 2nd.
Zoe opened things up with a huge 540, closed things out with a huge switch 720.
She spins all four ways and has the most unique grabs, locking in mutes and blunts aplenty.
Zoe went up top with an 89.00.
Hats off to the rookie!
Hannah pulled out after run 1.
Though the judges must have been watching through a glass of skim milk as it was only awarded 87.00.
Amy wouldn’t improve her score but would make it into finals.
Zoe dropped last, with the only thing to gain in prelims being a different starting position.
She got 12 feet out of the pipe on her first hit but wouldn’t complete a run.
An opening score of 84.66.
Maybe docked points for the ‘simplicity’ of the middle of her run, 88.33 for her trouble.
Would she try a 1260?
Not vintage Atkin, which would put the pressure is on for the final, this scored 34.33.
Fanghui Li, top qualifier, dropped last.
Fanghui went really deep on the middle of the run 900.
All to play for in the final run for all involved.
It seemed somewhat harsh.
But when does X Games judging make sense.
I don’t know how I’d call this.
Fanghui’s run wasn’t as clean as her prelim efforts.
Less amplitude but a decent effort nonetheless.
It was enough to get into 2nd and Cassie, the new mother would take the gold.
