Centering the action makes the image look unexciting and uninspired.  If you are just starting out, double-check not to do this!  This makes the image a more obvious choice for magazines to run as a cover.  They do occasionally run horizontals on the cover, but vertical is far more likely.  The simpler the shot (less distracting elements) the more usable it will be.

Le Samedi 12 Novembre avait lieu le premier D-Open au d-structure St-Julie pour l’ouverture officielle de la nouvelle boutique. L’evenement fut un succes monstre avec environ 90 riders. Last night was the photographer/athlete meet and great at the Peruvian Lodge in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Amongst the great food and open bar there was some familiar faces that it was good to reconnect with. The night was one to remember and a big thank you to Jesse for organizing the gathering.

It was a sad day for his family, friends and the ski world. Neither ski areas are open yet and have yet to conduct any avalanche control within their boundaries. We interviewed the victim’s ski partner. To say he was shaken up is an understatement. They had not consulted the avalanche advisory that morning in which the danger was rated Considerable to High. They continued to Snowbird via Baldy and accessed the Peruvian Cirque to gain the Gad Valley....

Dylan Thompson is an Oregon local. Dylan’s from Hood River and has ridden at Windells for year. He’s always been a staple in the Windells park. This year, Dylan completely annihilated the rail line in the park. You’ve probably seen some of the footage in our videos.
