It was a wonderfull suprise on such a foggy day. Now we just have to go back when we can actually see what we are doing.

Behind our hotel is a hiking trail that leads in to the hills behind the city of Taipei. Amazingly enough they welcomed us in to join them for the morning.

Last week I was skiing in Kirkwood, California for the North American Junior Freeskiing Championships. It was the fourth stop on the IFSA Junior Freeskiing Tour. I arrived there with my team, Team Summit on the night of March 23rd. We got to the mountain the next morning. This was the most snow I had ever seen. The next day, the storm continued but some of the mountain opened up....

From a wind scoured ridge, Robinson and I watched Sewell traverse out into the gully. Before he made his first turn, the gully ripped. Then, our worst nightmare came true. It was as if the entire mountain was disintegrating before our eyes....

Then the cold core associated with the main low comes down the coast Thursday and Friday. Expecting snow showers most of Thursday and Friday. Models are back and forth on the liquid amounts and snowfall. Right now it looks like at least several inches up to a foot on the moutain. This will be a nice fluffy mid-winter style powder, another amazing treat here late season. By Monday night we could see another cold front move through with light snow....
