This years planning process was a little crazy, with tons of injuries just before the event. I have to say I was really worried up until the week before. All the girls arrived in Pittsburgh Thursday night, and the shuttle delivered them directly to Seven Springs. Day 1 We woke up Friday to a gloomy day. I?m talking some of the worst conditions I?ve seen in a long time. We all took a tour of the mountain and the set up....

As I mentioned earlier I helped put a yurt together earlier this year. I filmed some, but the footage just isn’t interesting. Instead of showing boring footage for the sake of footage I figure I’ll just throw some pictures up. skinning up in the morning. The final layer though was a couple hundred pounds and was a real bitch to get on the roof. My opinion on the yurt? could be cool, but totally won’t be....

Hey Folks, last week was pretty amazing for some of the LINE Mountain Commands. We gathered our troops in Laax, Switzerland in the beautiful Rocks Resort. It was (as always) nice to live with the buddys from the line team. Hope to see you back on the startlist next year! He got his run down very clean and qualified for the finals. Then it was time for the finals. Roy scored high with his run all week long and so there was no reason to change it....

The same is true last season and I can’t even remember the one before that all to well. But the snow has returned and I’ve gotten those much missed powder slashed and cliff drops. I have stopped out the 360! I have finally managed to do the trick I’ve been working (lazily) towards for 2 years. Damn that was hard. Still need to try it on my powder skis, I’m nervous....

Expected additional snow totals by Monday night of 6-9 inches at the base and 9-12+ inches on top. Storm totals by the Tuesday morning snow report should be around 20-26+ inches. As that ridge slides East it will be replaced by a flatter ridge out in the Pacific around 140w. That will bring a shot of colder air and a chance of light snow Thursday night and Saturday night. Looking at the teleconnections they are not looking as favorable after mid-month....

Thursday I had my first day back on skis after my operation. It’s very hard to put score’s on every trick and take a stab at keep it consistent. We were three judges. After the competition I was looking over the scoreboard, and the judging was terrible. The guys said that my judging was pretty much on point so that’s good. But a lot of guys got screwed pretty bad....

We stayed in Phuket Town for two days. Hotel We stayed at the Sino House Hotel, great location and value for your money. Super clean with a safe deposit box.
