This was the big show. Seeing the slideshows then made me look at action sports photography in a completely different way. Last April I entered a three minute slideshow to be considered for the finals of the Pro Photographer Showdown. I finally felt I had enough to fill the nine minutes of photos that was required as a finalist. I then spent nine days straight working on my show. There’s nothing harder than trying to put together a show of your own work....

This was what it looked like atop the scaffolding at the Denver Big Air. Easton was able to make it through the qualifying rounds and advance to finals. Finals consisted of each rider getting 3 hits. Here’s Eastons first, a backside double rodeo 900. Not bad for being 16.

Two weeks ago on January 22nd we had a great powder day at A-Basin. This was one of my better days of the season, thus far. I will hopefully be able to put together a quick one soon. I missed a great day, but ended up being pretty sick with strep throat. On that Saturday, the 29th, I went down to Denver for the SIA Snow Show. My friend and teammate Ian Borgeson came along with me....

She is living in Salt Lake, coaching and competing. I took some photos with my sister during the spring look book shoot. My sister showed up at 6:30AM to find us scooping water into a garbage bucket with a blender. Oh actually I found a picture of her wearing the XL vest and Angeli is wearing the XL cobra!
