SIA is officially over!

Park City local and all around madman, Alex Schlopy, just won the skiing big air event this weekend at the X-Games. Throwing down some of the most technical and stylish double corks resulted in Schlopy taking home his first ever X-Games gold medal. Schlopy has been killing it on the home front for the past few years and now he has stepped up his game tremendously and it has been paying off....

I just recently chose to quit my first job. I was hired as a park ranger at my local mountain of Pats Peak in New Hampshire. It was my first job I ever had and was a learning "experience". I really thought the job was going to be righteous. Ride around and enforce the park rules, then just raking out features a couple times a day. Sounds like a dream job, right?...

We just launched March Radness on Contour.com and it’s going to be epic. The prizes are insane. We (Contour) will also be picking our favorites so style and editing counts! The primary thing that is necessary to understand about skiers is that they are a passionate group of people. Let me reiterate, skiers are crazy people. What kind of rational person would choose to be neck deep in snow? His personal capital and savings were the seed money for his budding ski production company, ON3P. For the ski season of 2008-2009, ON3Ps skis were finally ready to be tested. Taken out by friends, both amateur and professional, the skis were put to the absolute test....

Everyone wanted a piece of Bobby during X Games. Bobby finds a moment to relax during a hectic week. Sarah has now won 4/5 X Games gold medals, proving she truly is on a completely different level.  In the men’s event, things got intense. The pipe was fast and everyone was going so big.

Jumps are bigger than they have ever been this year, due to an improved snowmaking system. This was the same feature that they used for the T4 contest at the end of last year. All in all this is the best all around park ever seen at Tremblant. !This is a new feature. It’s a bike rack. This is the second last feature before the urban feature at the bottom of the southside park....

But once we get that down, we’ll let you see it all. Countless new retailers in North America want in and are ordering product. Also be aware that Ted Ligety will be there signing autographs on the 7th at 11:00AM.

Here is a glimpse into the Northside Park at Tremblant (updated February 27, 2011). This is what I would call the medium park at Trembs. Northside Park as of February 27, 2011.Not much has changed in the Northside park since the last update. The flat down rail has changed to just a down rail, but other than that its remained unchanged. Still a good spot to hone those skills before taking them to the Southside....
