HAFJELL shred

Up and at it early today, which feels great. So we jumped into the car and drove to Lillehammer to hit the railpark. We also got to scope a few stores for pipes. I really wan’t to build a good summerrail! The railpark was epic as allways, the snow is melting quick though. It is far from booring. Congrats to Sig Tveit who won the video-qualifiers for TEAM Norway JOSS....

Sunny Powder!

Saturday was nice and sunny for the 45cms of light, fluffy snow we have recieved during the past week. Here are some photos taken by Nathan. I’ll attempt to get my hands on some more soon.  I spent today rebuilding the bowl jump (BJ) with Ty and Jay, it will hopefully be ready for Thursday. I think there will be a pretty fun session on it.

Alta, UT

Since Jordan just put up many images that epitomize Alta here are a few from a jump my roommate and I hit a short hike off of one of Alta’s lifts. When most people think of Alta its just deep powder and cliffs, so I thought it was only fair to offer up yet another aspect this ski area possesses. Enjoy the pictures, and to anyone living in Utah, come up this weekend, Sunday should be amazing....

Alyeska Resort

Alyeska has gotten a ton ton of snow lately and I was lucky enough to experience the sunny side of it. I showed up on Friday, about 2 days after Alyeska got pounded by a 50 or so Inch storm that caused the area to perform a 1:00 Late opening. I am going to ski a few more days here before I head out to Haines Alaska to meet up with Julien JP Pep and Dane Tudor for some heli action, a....

Hypodermic Needle

Yesterday was a good day. I had a chance to hit one of the best lines in the wasatch. Its known as the hypodermic needle. Everything but the approach is appealing. The top 1200 feet is a 50 degree couloir thats just wide enough to make some hop turns. Then, it empties out into a massive apron to finish off the run with endless powder turns. Naturally, I was down....

Kaya Turski Repeats Winter X Games Gold in Tignes!

Kaya Turski had her eyes squarely set on winning two Winter X Games gold medals in the same season. Coming in to the final hit she had plenty of speed, plenty of pop and plenty of rotation. But a second gold medal would not come without a price. Kaya sat back seat on her landing and instantly felt that unmistakable strain that every athletes fears.
