That is a lot of driving just to go home for a weekend. So now I am sitting in the couch, trying to keep my eyes up while watching the olympics. And I really wanted to go to Hafjell tomorrow, way to much traveling and so little skiing lately. It is a film-competition for freeskiers, the best ones in the world. This qualifier states the best videos uploaded on Newschoolers.com video-contest for JOSS....
This past weekend at Kicking Horse Resort in Golden, British Columbia. Alex Wall continued to impress by reaching the top step on the Podium for the first time this season. After leading the first run on Day 1 Alex did enough to remain in first. The throwing and surviving of the dreaded corked Spraffy impressed and amazed all who saw it attempted. Another great event due to the tireless hard work of all involved ....
Recently, I have been going night riding at Keystone. So he and I will go up late in the afternoon. However, I cannot complain. Sure it’s a little colder, but everything else makes up for it. We will often roll in when everyone else is leaving. We will often have the entire mountain to ourselves. We will often have empty lifts. But we always have a blast! It is so fun....
French Faction activist Maxime Cepi is also running the Nendaz (Switzerland -Valais region) snowpark. “. Don’t hesitate to shred there and catch Maxime !
I got a rare chance a few weeks ago to shoot some snowboarding. It was a really big deal, and it was really nuking all through the comp. The heavy snowfall just adds so much to the shots, I just love it. I hope you dig.
The original shower test. I took the suits to the local spa, the idea to get water into the suit somehow. Obviously the suits claim to be water proof, but is it true? THE TEST I showered under cold water for 1 minute. The butt did not even saturate. My butt did feel damp afterwords, but no leaking of any ink. Third LDC, the suit was brand new, LDC repelled most water off of it....
Photographer Hannes Soderlund and me arrived in Munich and our journey has officially begun. Our first stop was Fiebergrbunn for the Freeride World Tour Qualifier. Everything went fine except for a broken sidestach ski… Lucky us! We tried to do the best of it. Then it was time for the next comp. So we drove to St. Moritz for the Freeride World Tour Qualifier Engadin Snow. Hopefully I will have better luck next time!...
While walking around downtown today I came across a really dope logo painted on an old abandoned building. I had to get this one today because it is one of the more perfect logos I have seen. Decided to put some tunes on the blog today, right click and save-as.
I layered up a couple of these things, they layer nicely. Swinging is so fun, these swings could have been a bit bigger but they worked out nicely. I gotta thank Jonathan Chandler for some more of his crisp photography on the Saga Blog.
Unfortunately, it was not good enough at any one of these tasks to win over enough users. GMail is a way better email client. Text messaging, Twitter, and instant messaging are still far better options for instant communication. Wave is slow and awkward for instant messaging between two people. Furthermore, I really feel like Wave missed the mark with the user interface. The scrollbars are over-engineered and it’s frustrating to work with the Edit/Done buttons....
Peter and Wiley were out front then Dylan then Myself. I came around a corner and saw that Wiley and Pete were waiting for Dylan and I. Funny thing was Dylan was no where to be found. Apparently he came around a corner and hit a bump and his throttle stuck. Luckily he utilized his cat like speed and reflex to jump off the sled before the accident.
Below are some photos from photographer Erik Seo of that particular day. It’s really cool to see what Seo captured through his lens.
