Red Freeski Academy at Fernie

This past weekend saw the Red Freeski Academy compete at the Junior Freeski Competition held at Fernie Alpine Resort. Fernie, like the rest of BC has been trapped in a drought for nearly a month now and the conditions showed it. Although there is a bomber base and there was a bit of new snow recently, conditons were skied out and extremely icy.  Day one qualifiers took place on the popular Big Bang....

Mount Snow in pictures

Some shots I managed to take this weekend. Super-windy on top… They cut down the course to the lower part because of that. Rail into two jumps into a bonk. Tanner from Vail dropping in. Really nice guy, and only 15 years of age. I was worried about even more overweight-fees on my baggage, but I just took my skiboots out.

Mount-Snow ? Albany ? Detroit ? Denver

Alarm set at 02.20, taxi at 02.30 am. 2 hour drive to Albany airport. Early morning flight to Detroit at 0600 am. Funky tunnel between gates in Detroit. The people staying at the gates were evacuated. Nobody knew why though. My flight were 1 hour late, but I got on it after a lot of waiting. Frustrated people in Detroit. A lot of traveling allready, eventhough it is just 10 in the morning....

So, I started my drive from Richmond Hill, Ontario on November 18th. My birthday being November 17th. I packed up my moms van with all my delicates after I traded my mazda protege with her for the winter. I made the long haul across I-90 in four days....

1st at Gatorade Freeflow tour, dew tour next year

Pretty much woke up to storm this morning, but bluebird. We started slopestyle practice at 8.00 am which is way to early by my opinion. And in the end they put in this stupid Gatorade bonk. I kept it pretty simple, but tried to make it look as easy as I could. 270 on the downbox, unatural 540 mute to a sw 10 mute, to a bonk. Actually scored a 91 in my first run, and I won the whole thing....

Are you in the sandwich club?

What is the Sandwich Club? The Sandwich Club is a fun game involving smashing of other member’s sandwiches. Sandwiches that are not modified can be smashed with a fist by other members or those in the know. The smashed sandwich must then be eaten, as do all smashed sandwiches. The sandwich cannot be replaced. Remember, the Sandwich Club is a Gentleman’s game. How do I join? There are 2 ways to join....
