Camera choices... thoughts from an overcrowded camera bag

I’m in the lucky position right now to have all three of Canons latest cameras sitting here in front of me. I have been using the 5dMKII since January last year , I purchased a 7d in August and just over two weeks ago I picked up the new Canon 1dMKIV. Whilst I’m not going to do exhaustive comparative testing between all the cameras (I simply don’t have the time to do this and plenty of...

Dew-Tour Pipe finals

Yesterday was a LONG day by all means. Went to register for the slopestyle this morning, and went up to see the DewTour pipe finals. As you’re free to see, DewTour is kind of a big deal. Yeah, as I said. A lot of people watching. I tried to stand on my ski without falling on the icy slopes though. Hitting rails in the public park and just cruising. A lot of good riders that competed in slopestyle yesterday was up for a shred too....

Mcdonald?s in Medieval France

During my trip to France, I got to spend some time away from the ski areas. Julien Regnier (think 1242) and I went to Albertsville… new and old. The Medieval part of town is super cool, still a really old feel to it. Then we went to the most technologically advanced Mcdonalds on the planet. As you will see in this photo, the seats are better than the bridge on star trek....

A Little Dicey Out There.

Just the other day while in WY, Kyle and I found a pretty cool looking mini zone. Until then we just have to ensure we are on out toes.

Bottomless Pow in Tahoe Last Week!!

We loaded up my truck with our sleds and took off. We showed up in Tahoe City to huge snow banks and trees caked with fluff. These are good signs that it is deep in the mountains. We crashed in the house where I grew up and rallied to the trailhead early the next morning. There was even more snow than the night before and it was still coming down hard....

let there be flight

My love for flight started during infancy. My dad used to swing me around above his head, that’s probably what started it all. I managed to take a few lessons through high school but never really was able to do it regularly. Well, although my dreams of becoming a commercial pilot quickly dissipated, my love for flying remained. So, today, I drove down to the front range (Boulder/Denver area) and interviewed flight schools....

Stuck in Detroit

04.50 am wake-up call at Holiday-Inn, Denver. I didn’t feel like arguing with the woman, and let it go. 1 hour before my flight took off. That’s why I am all alone on the picture above. I had to take the train back, get my credit card, and through the security again! The aircraft that took me to Detroit. Just a two and a half hour flight. On my way to the gate at Detroit....

1,000 miles and 21 U-turns in 24 hours

As we left Tahoe our first stop was in the capital of Nevada, Carson City. We then proceeded on our seemingly endless journey through Nevada to Utah, 8 hours later we got there. Kyle Smaine: While in Utah we found the most interesting of bakeries, but unfortunately it was closed. Before we finally made it to Colorado we ended up making 21 U-turns in 24 hours in Utah. It may seem frustrating to some but by the end we were enjoying every single one....
