Denver

Sitting behind my computer in my room at the Holiday-Inn, Denver after a booring motel-room day. This is pretty much my bag allmost ready to go. I actually hate traveling and packing, but todays packing went great! The weather changes pretty quick in these heights. Snowshoe Motel, last picture this year! Thanks again for all the service ! Hans Petter Hval from Friflyt picked me up at the motel. Got all the bags in the large American car....

K2 Dispatch: Monarch Mountain

Tuesday at Monarch was awesome with blue sky and fresh snow buffing out the upper ridge lines. Bryce scouts out a solid 35 ft rock, with a marginal landing.

SIA/WWSRA On-Snow Demo

Winter Park Colorado – 02/01/2010 Care to try next years gear? The demo functions much as one would expect. Even a manufacturer that was mysteriously absent from SIA, made it 4(frnt) the WWSRA demo. It is impossible to try every ski that is at the demo. I am absolutely stoked on everything Armada is bringing to the table next year. Look for a completely REDESIGNED T-Hall Pro Model amongst other changes and additions to the line....

Perfect perfect Keystone!

Today was so good. We found out how to cut the bustrip to Keystone with half-an-hour, and the jump-line was re-buildt. The parkbuilder was happy to see that we liked the new look! This was taken yesterday after skiing. So good to be skiing in a hoodie and skipants. Keystone on the way up the first chair. Lower part of medium line. Lower part of railline. Rails in the medium line....

dirty pillows

Massive avalanches had, and continued to catastrophically release all across the state. We saw slides in areas that I have never seen slide before. Conditions like this warrant extreme respect for the mountains. Over the weekend we played around in the rocky crags of the Uinta mountains. We visited some “mini golf” areas that had no deep slab potential. The terrain was fun and the conditions were fantastic. The january light offered amazing back lighting conditions all day long....

Hattrick at Polish Open

The road trip to Zakopane actually starts on Wednesday, including the consequences of a Wednesday night in Innsbruck. A part of the crew was displaced to some of Innsbruck finest localities by the Legs of Steel. Korbi left to Poland. At the Chiemsee Roy Kittler joined us. The fact that it finally snowed after a dry period lasting for weeks implied a big disadvantage for us. To read the whole trip story from downdays....

Wind Lip?n

Nothing is more beautiful than a crisp, natural, wind lip just waiting to be stepped out and greased. The best part about Grizzly Gulch is there are jump spots galore and there is a groomed track to the top, kinda like an interstate road for the backcountry but always good for some shots. The best part about the day was that Collins and Moxham stomp everything and when filming for an edit that really helps....
