Got up in good time for a morning coffee today. Today I will pack my gear and jump in the car. Hafjell is open, and it looks great. When the railpark is opening it has to be one of the best parks in Norway. I will give a shot to post some pictures from Hafjell tomorrow!

December 8th at 12:39 p.m. I was officially done with the fall quarter at Lake Tahoe Community college. So naturally, my good friend Kyle ?the Body? Smaine and I decided to embark on a journey to Colorado. On the morning of December 9th our epic journey began. Along this 16 hour incredibly boring car ride, we managed to keep ourself occupied. After staying the night in Salt Lake the second piece of the journey became a bit more interesting....

We got up bright and early and headed up the windy road to the mountain. It was a brisk day in late fall and old man winter was beginning to come back for another great year of skiing. In the base area we looked out to the expansive valley floor in the distance. Excited to get up to the summit i hurriedly put my skins on my new skis and got my gear in my backpack....

Without these guys and gals, my life would be way more difficult.

Mount Snow announced Christmas morning that the superpipe will open up December 30, 2009. This will be the earliest opening of the superpipe in 3 years and will be the first pipe in the east open and one of only a handful in the country. Carinthia, ranked the #1 Park in the East by Transworld Magazine and SKI Magazine now has 6 parks open with over 50 features. The pipe located directly in front of the Carinthia Base Lodge will open up with 16' walls and be about 400 in length....

I drove out to Vassfjellet skiresort, and hit the slopes there. Not much snow yet, a few rails/boxes/pipes out, but mostly just fooling around having fun. My skis had come to an end, and there was not any edges left underneath the boot-area. To bad, cause it was hard to hit rails with cracked edges. I have a new pair of Dumonts 09/10 that I have to get mounted tomorrow morning....
