Tremblant’s park is definitely coming along. Northside is fully operational and Southside looks like its got a good base of snow. I was at Alyeska Resort to bring in the new year, and I got to celebrate in many ways. The Torch Light parade is something that I have participated in since I was a little kid, and this year I watched it from the bottom and enjoyed watching everyone “parade down” the Moutain. I got some new hats to try out, and some overnight shipped starburts… that had to cost a pretty penny, saved me a trip to Seven Eleven though....

Ive been realizing that I havent been following through with anything. I havent been determined. I havent been solid on my word. I havent been much of anything lately. Not a writer, not a skier and most definitely not a loyal blogger. This being my junior year at school in Vermont, things were different. I couldnt write if you paid me, and trust me, people tried. We lose a sense of it....

He spent this past winter in Lake Tahoe, snowboarding and shooting photos every day. Ahhh, the life! Almost 3 years ago I built Ben his first website to showcase his photos. Ben wanted a simple design so the photos were the main focus. We decided to go with a plain white page with a simple header and menu. The site is entirely JavaScript and is fun to interact with. The photos are loaded on-demand via AJAX calls to back-end PHP resources....

Yesterday was my first day in Hafjell after the main park opened. 3 jumps, a bunch of jibs and a shoot-out rail. I think they need some minor adjustments, a little longer transitions on the kickers and so. But we will see.
