StartFragment Monarch Mountain will open on the day before Thanksgiving for the 2009-10 season. The area will have 3 chairlifts; Pioneer, Panorama & Tumbelina and the Children’s Ski School carpet lifts in operation. The area plans to fire up the Garfield and Breezeway chairs on Saturday. Web based voting campaigns are the thing of the day. One skier will be selected to represent the whordes of eager ski bums, riff-raffing around the province. They will spend 3 months going from resort to resort, riding helicopters, cats, and snowmobiles. One of these guys deserves this in fact they need it.

The crew did their best to entertain us … and we have been very well entertained! The boat was sailing overnight, so we were getting up in a new place every morning.
