Duncan Adams: 17 years old and on the cover of Powder Magazine

On December 20, 2009, Duncan Adams’ phone rang. Josh Berman of Level 1 Productions had some news to share. One guide scrambled to unload their skis from the basket, while another held the door. A second athlete got out, then a third. Adams and Stefan Thomas, another pro skier, went with it. They fell an estimated 400 vertical feet before coming to rest 100 feet above a giant crevasse. It was the first run he’d ever skied...

Having been there a few times, so we made our way to the real fun zone. Koskinen decided to grab my Double Helix’s and bop some quick 180’s off a cliff. I was pretty excited to ski this line right off the bat....

The big show ? Scott / Monster Weekend ? Day 3

After all the activities and hype the day finally came to shoot on the giant Monster claw jump. We started the day, again with a Monster shotgun. This time Ian Cosco was the unlucky recipient of a can full of jitters. My day was spent trying to get the cherry picker all setup next to the jump. That made me feel a LOT more at ease.

Ghost Town

Luckily the day passed without much incident, we got a few shots and spooked ourselves a little. Always a good day out. Everything has been demolished except the movie theatre and hospital and the forrest has grown deep around it. The hospital is unbelievable. Its about 3 stories high and so big. As you walk into each ward shivers go down your spine. These images are the town of Kayakoy in Southern Turkey....

just been snowing

I have been up here at Mt. It feels like the dead of winter. Lapping cliffs instead of jumps and logs instead of rails. Witt Foster has made it out here this week for some of the snow that just keeps coming down. I also traded my Varsity coat with a kid named Nick for the Boston Lobster. I like cream cicles. Top of the Palmer snow field. Rare to have this open this time of year....
